Hypnotherapy for children in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

hypnotherapy to help childrens problems cheltenham hypnotherapist for help with bedwetting school phobias eating disorders teenage problems drugs anorexia bulimia children child enuresis wetting the bed hypnotherapy help ADHD Aspergers treatment in Cheltenham hypnotherapist hypnotist kids cure for attention defecit deficit Cheltenham Hypnotherapy Clinic disorders hypnosis hypnotism in CheltenhamChildren are entirely suited towards hypnotherapy and often respond incredibly well to treatment even in one hypnosis session. Hypnotherapy is such a gentle and relaxing treatment that it can be very helpful for bedwetting, phobias in children, exam worries or many other problems that children may encounter as they grow up.

At my Cheltenham Hypnotherapy Clinic I see children and teenagers for hypnotherapy from about 7-17 years of age.

(If your child is younger see bottom of the page)

Children under the age of 16 must always accompanied by a parent or guardian (usually the one the child 'gets on with the most') who is actively encouraged to participate in the session.

The 'Blowaway' technique for children
This single session hypnotherapy technique has been especially designed by experts for use with children to help them resolve their anxiety, worry or phobia. The technique, utilising hypnosis, is aimed at removing obstacles to the child's development, so that the child will progress to be the best person they possibly can be.

The Blowaway technique means that during a relaxing therapy session the child is encouraged to take a deep breath and 'blow away' any negative emotions or 'bottled up' feelings...resulting in both a reduction of anxiety or stress within the child and a corresponding increase in self-esteem and confidence.

This single session non-talking therapy is often a fun, interesting, informal and very liberating experience for both parent and child!

Success stories
"Richard, I just want to thank you for the session with Amelia last Thursday,
I thought you had a lovely manner with her. We both felt very different afterwards and the following day, hard to describe it really,
I felt light with a sense of inner well being.
I think everyone could benefit from hypnosis just to clear out excess baggage.

So far she seems to be sleeping better most nights....I’ll keep you posted with how it goes after the next couple of weeks...On the whole Amelia has been sleeping much better."
Wendy and daughter Amelia, Cheltenham

"Richard, Thought I'd drop you a quick note given that a few weeks have passed since Issy & I came to see you. I have to say that there has been a noticeable improvement in her tolerance of dogs...In addition she generally seems more positive & her confidence levels generally seem to have increased too.

Overall this means a huge improvement to our home life...without doubt you have helped so thank you very much - I so wish we had come to see you sooner." Jeremy and daughter Issy, Warwickshire

"Dear Richard, we are writing this letter to thank you for your help with Emily's eating problem. Before we came to visit you it really was out of control. Emily weighed just four and a half stone and at the age of fourteen she was definitely underweight and very weak and poorly most of the time. After one visit with you using the 'Blowaway hypnotherapy technique' a great improvement has taken place. Emily is now eating a wide variety of food regularly. Emily has gained half a stone in weight in just one month and feels more energetic and positive towards food. Thank you for all your help Richard..."
Sharon and daughter Emily

What about very young children e.g. 4?
Although it is possible to see young children for therapy, for very young children (e.g. 4 or 5) I would recommend the parent purchasing the book 'Stress Busting for Children' by Rita Sparkes, available at Amazon.co.uk.

This wonderful little book, written by an IAPH therapist, is a version of the above blowaway technique written down that the parents can apply at home themselves. The book has a chapter to be read for girls and a chapter to be read for boys, and includes full instructions and tips for use.
