Professional hypnotherapy association

The IAPH has been established for over twenty years since 1984 when it was then known as the International Association of Hypnoanalysts (IAH).

The IAPH is the largest body of analytical hypnotherapists in the world.

Therapists in the IAPH are bound by a very strict code of practice and ethics and abide by the rules of the association to ensure good practice. IAPH hypnotherapists are well trained, and receive expert supervision.

CRB Checks
CRB checks are undertaken on individuals who work directly with either children or other vulnerable people. The check itself involves a check for a criminal record, and checks against various lists, such as POCALS (Protection of Children Act List System).

Currently, all Accredited IAPH Members, including Richard, hold a current full CRB Check.

Fellow of the IAPH
In May 2007 Richard was awarded a Fellowship of the International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts at the their annual conference for services over the years both to the IAPH and to hypnotherapy in general.

About the IAPH Fellowship by Rob Kelly
International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts"An IAPH fellowship is the highest accolade achievable in the organisation and is reserved for some of our experienced therapists who in some way, shape or form have made a SIGNIFICANT contribution to both the IAPH association and the professions of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.

In our association the title of Fellow is held in high regard - since the IAPH was established 24 years ago only 10 Fellowships have ever been awarded.

In May 2007 the IAPH Council of Management awarded Richard Parsons a fellowship for his work as a hypnotherapist. As well as running a highly successful full time hypnotherapy practice in Cheltenham he has been a dynamic and popular figure in the organisation over the last few years. He served on the Council of Management from 2004-2007 and continues to this day to provide support and help for many other hypnotherapists especially those new to the profession by regularly running training seminars and workshops.

We were delighted at this year's annual conference to recognise Richard's achievements in the therapeutic field, and his fellowship is well deserved."
